One of my dear customers came to me needing a gift for her new grandchild.  Great, it’s a boy right?  I mean this family all they have is boys…….not this time.  It’s a girl!!!  It’s a Stella!  Stella…..I love that name.

Seersucker Dress

I wanted to come up with something really pretty and girly for Stella since she is the first girl born into this family in a long time.  I like to come up with a color combination first and then start pulling items and fabrics from my inventory.  I was thinking soft yellow and gray.  I had plenty of fabric in those colors and some items but I was not feeling it.  Next color combination idea, aqua & pink.    Pulled the fabrics pink polka dots and aqua chevron.   Looking through my inventory I found an aqua seersucker dress from Mint (Sweet Little Things), perfect!  Added aqua seersucker bloomers, aqua and pink minky lovie, a bib and a burp cloth set.  BTW, Grammy loves aqua!

With a dress, a little girl needs seersucker bloomers I always have multiple sizes and colors of seersucker bloomers from Mint (Sweet Little Things) in stock.  I think it is so darling to see a name or pretty design embroidered on the bum of a pair of bloomers.

Minky Lovie

We felt with Stella being the very first girl in the family she needed a few more things.  So we made her a matching minky lovie and a bib & burp cloth set to go with her cute little outfit.  Of course we used aqua and pink so she will be all color coordinated (start them early!).

The minky lovie is super soft!  Babies love them!  It is so pretty in aqua and trimmed with pink grosgrain ribbon with white polka dots.

Appliquéd Bib & Burp Cloth Set

The burp cloth is a nice absorbent Gerber cloth diaper embellished with Stella’s name and a pretty sprig of flowers.  Our bibs are a 2 ply with super soft cotton on the front and absorbent chenille on the back.   It is also embellished with her pretty name and an appliqué flower sprig.
